About Fate by the Tidal Flats (Season 2)
Three years ago, Wang Hao, a young fisher‑village local, dove to save Xia Li, a girl who had fallen into the sea. The accident left him comatose and paralyzed, and he became the laughingstock of the whole village. Over those three years, against her family’s wishes, Xia Li took devoted care of him. However, Xia Li’s mother and her elder brother Xia Jinbao lusted after Wang Hao’s seaside old house and property. They subjected the pair to all kinds of mistreatment, and insisted that Xia Li divorce the paralyzed Wang Hao to marry Huang Dafu, a wealthy young man. Just as the family threw the bed‑ridden Wang Hao out and pressured Xia Li into submission, Wang Hao suddenly regained consciousness. Trapped in desperate straits, Wang Hao unexpectedly activates a Divine Tide‑Harvest System. His paralyzed legs heal completely, his physical abilities surpass ordinary people, and he gains the power to pinpoint habitats of rare seafood, setting him on the road to counter‑rise. After waking up, Wang Hao fiercely protects his beloved, fending off Huang Dafu who comes to force the marriage, casting off his former wretched state. Seizing the big tide opportunity prompted by the system, he harvests rare sea catches such as giant spiny lobsters and colossal octopuses while tide‑pooling. He lifts himself out of abject poverty and publicly shames the villagers who mocked and looked down on him. Seething with envy over Wang Hao’s good fortune, Xia Jinbao secretly follows him out to the tidal flats at night, hoping to reap the rewards for himself. Tragically, he gets stung by a sea scorpion and dies from the injury. Blinded by grief over her son’s death, Jinbao’s mother shifts all the blame onto Wang Hao and frames him recklessly. Yet Wang Hao produces hard evidence and exposes her lies in public, leaving her to suffer the consequences of her own actions. Later on, with his top‑tier tide‑harvesting skills, Wang Hao secures a long‑term partnership with the town’s largest high‑end seafood market. He amasses wealth rapidly by supplying premium seafood, escapes poverty for good, and safeguards Xia Li, who has never abandoned him.
