Identify the broken promise

A betrayed partner, a deceived friend, and a person abandoned by their family face different choices. Read for what was entrusted to the other person: affection, money, reputation, or safety. Then decide whether you want a story about discovering the truth, responding to the harm, or rebuilding trust after it.

Is every betrayal story a revenge story?

No. Betrayal describes the breach of trust; revenge describes one possible response. A protagonist may instead seek separation, accountability, or a new life. Follow the Revenge or Second Chance collections when you want to narrow the response, while checking each synopsis for its actual direction.
