When He Faked Amnesia to Break Her Heart

About When He Faked Amnesia to Break Her Heart

Shuang Wan and Mu Nansheng were childhood sweethearts. Mu Nansheng, an illegitimate child, grew up in the shadows of inferiority, while Shuang Wan, the radiant young lady of the family, was adored by Old Master Mu. When Mu Nansheng was finally acknowledged by the Mu family, he faced nothing but scorn—except for Shuang Wan, who became his only light. They fell deeply in love, but Mu Nansheng could never escape the darkness of his birth. Consumed by insecurity, he both worshipped and resented Shuang Wan. On their wedding day, in a twisted act of self-sabotage, Mu Nansheng faked a car accident and pretended to lose his memory—only to "fall in love" with Shuang Wan’s half-sister, Shuang Ning. Like him, Shuang Ning was illegitimate, and he wanted to test whether someone who once looked down on him could truly love him. Worse, he sought to dominate Shuang Wan, forcing her to grovel to satisfy his wounded pride. Blind to his deception, Shuang Wan desperately tried to prove his love still existed—standing for hours in the rain, obeying his cruel demands (even buying sanitary pads for Shuang Ning), and auctioning her late mother’s heirlooms to gift him his favorite things. But when she overheard him confessing that his amnesia was a lie, her heart shattered. Devastated, she resolved to let go and agreed to a marriage alliance with Chi Yu, the mute heir of a rival dynasty. When Mu Nansheng realized she was slipping away forever, he was consumed by regret—but it was too late. Shuang Wan had already moved on, embracing a new life. At her wedding to Chi Yu, Mu Nansheng begged on his knees for her to stop the ceremony, but her heart remained unmoved. Meanwhile, Chi Yu, though born into unimaginable wealth, carried childhood trauma that left him unable to speak. What began as a political union slowly blossomed into real love as Shuang Wan was disarmed by his quiet devotion. In the end, Chi Yu found his voice through her love, and the two built a happiness Mu Nansheng could only watch from afar—forever haunted by his own choices.
