The Supreme Master on Campus

About The Supreme Master on Campus

Lu Yu, the Young Master of the Lingyun Pavilion in the Great Xia Dynasty, emerges from seclusion having attained the unrivaled pinnacle of martial arts. Yet his heart remains weighed down by the disappearance of his mother, Zhou Xian'er, who has been missing for a decade. Clues gathered by his subordinates all point to the eerie No. 1 Jiangnan Middle School, so he ventures there alone without hesitation. This school is bound by mysterious rules that seal off all his martial power, reducing him to an ordinary man. When the school posts a vacancy for a liberal arts teacher, Lu Yu hesitates at first after witnessing the previous teacher being chased away by unruly students. He is then subdued by Principal Sun Zhengtian, who wields the formidable power of the Literati Path where words take immediate effect. To his surprise, Lu Yu realizes he has also reached the supreme realm in the Literati Path. He takes the teaching post and begins investigating his mother's whereabouts in secret. His students are all children of wealthy tycoons and powerful nobles in Jiangnan — rebellious and averse to studying. To keep them in line and avoid disrupting his investigation, Lu Yu makes a bet with them on dice-rolling, their favorite pastime. He wins effortlessly through his Literati magic and initially gains their submission. Unwilling to admit defeat, the students team up with Vice Principal Shen Ruoyun, who disguises herself as Zhou Xian'er to drive Lu Yu away. Unexpectedly, the jade pendants worn by the two merge into one, conjuring a phantom of Zhou Xian'er, who leaves behind a map to find her. Fearing for Lu Yu's safety, Shen Ruoyun hides half of the map, sparking a conflict between them. The principal mediates their dispute and arranges a field survival trial. During the trip, they are ambushed by assassins from the Asura Hall. No longer holding back, Lu Yu reveals his identity as the Young Master of Lingyun Pavilion and his supreme mastery in both martial and literati arts, slaying the assassins. He wins the full respect of the students and Shen Ruoyun. Letting go of her prejudices, Shen Ruoyun joins forces with him to search for Zhou Xian'er, while the students spare no effort in offering help through their families' influence. As the investigation progresses, Lu Yu uncovers the truth behind his father's death and a conspiracy masterminded by the ancient ferocious serpent, Teng Snake. Xiao Chen, the wealthiest tycoon in Jiangnan, has been possessed by the beast. To seize the Primal Qi and attain the Primordial Realm, he murdered Lu Yu's father, imprisoned Zhou Xian'er, and manipulated the Asura Hall to stir up chaos. With the help of Xiao Zilong, who upholds justice over family loyalty, Lu Yu defeats the Teng Snake with his unparalleled martial and literati prowess. He rescues his mother and puts an end to all crises. In the end, he becomes an incomparable teacher truly admired by every student.
