Fate Reset: Reborn to Save My Family

About Fate Reset: Reborn to Save My Family

"In 1998, ten-year-old Mia suddenly realizes she has been reborn—right back at the turning point of her fate. In her previous life, after her grandmother Gina arranged a blind date for her father Jay, she dragged Mia back to their hometown. Not long after Mia left, Jay died under strange circumstances. Gina branded Mia a curse, sold her off as a child bride, and in the end, Mia was forced to take poison and die tragically. Now reborn, Mia has only three goals: stop her grandmother from pushing her father into a new relationship, protect her mysterious mother Sophie—who is due to return home on October 1st—and keep her family together while uncovering the truth behind her father’s bizarre death. She pretends to be clueless to ruin Gina’s matchmaking schemes with a wealthy suitor. She secretly loosens the brakes on the bicycle Gina bought to impress the blind date, making him fall in disgrace and turn resentful, thus ruining the deal. She records evidence of Gina colluding with the village chief to sell her off in order to cover up disaster-relief funds. During a desperate escape at the bus station, she hides in army officer Zack’s car—only to discover that Sophie is actually the “important person” Zack came to pick up! Gina publicly accuses them of having an affair, but Mia cries out about being sold, throwing down the recording as proof and forcing Gina to retreat. Family reunion stirs undercurrents: Mia guards against Zack “stealing her mother’s heart,” spends her dowry money to give her rustic father a makeover, and makes the whole crowd laugh at the talent show with his studded leather jacket and wild afro. Later, when Sophie is slandered with “identity fraud” at work, Zack steps up with her to clear her name—revealing that the three of them were once childhood friends chasing the dream of space exploration. Six years earlier, Sophie had married Jay out of gratitude while secretly working with Zack on the Shenzhou-1 project. Jay’s career in aerospace was cut short by an accident, yet he silently supported his wife. Mia finally learns the truth: in her past life, her mother returned home hiding her kidney failure and passed away, while her father drank himself to death. This time, Mia secretly undergoes testing, discovers she’s a match, and begs to donate her kidney to save her mother. In the end, the family joins hands to fight illness—and under the fireworks of Shenzhou-1’s launch, they reclaim their happiness."
