About Enemies Spark Spring's Flame

Professor Su Qian, a modern clinical scientist, collapsed and died after performing seven consecutive surgeries. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself transmigrated into the destitute young mistress of the House of Su, who had been driven out by her uncle's family. The original host had been deceived by the loafer Zhao Chenzheng and nearly sold into a brothel. Relying on her modern wits, Su Qian saw through the scheme and drove Zhao Chenzheng away, but during the struggle, she inadvertently provoked her neighbor, the unfilial Shen Tinglan. Unbeknownst to her, this cold-faced, fan-wielding neighbor was actually the notorious Chief Eunuch of the court, who always wore a mask and was feared for his cruelty. Shen Tinglan was living incognito in the slums to investigate the truth behind the deaths of his father and General Su, Su Qian's father. His only weakness was his mother, who suffered from a heart condition. At a market, Su Qian saved Shen's mother during a sudden attack, slightly easing the tension between them. Shen's mother even brought out an old marriage contract to match them, but both opposed it. Meanwhile, the Emperor, wary of Shen Tinglan's power, forcibly arranged a marriage with the House of Su. The legitimate daughter of the Su family, Su Yao, unwilling to marry a eunuch, plotted to capture Su Qian and force her to take her place. On their wedding night, Su Qian used anesthetic to knock out Shen Tinglan and attempted to remove his mask but was interrupted. In her panic, she dropped her sachet. Shen Tinglan found it and noticed its embroidery matched Su Qian's clothing, realizing the substitute bride was the woman next door. Su Qian escaped and planned to flee with her maid Xiaoyue, but stayed to care for Shen's mother after hearing her cries for help. Their relationship gradually transformed through friction. The Su family, manipulated by the Third Princess, repeatedly plotted against Su Qian, even attempting to drown her in a pig cage, but Shen Tinglan secretly thwarted each scheme. During an attack, Shen was poisoned by an arrow while protecting Su Qian. While treating him, Su Qian found her lost sachet in his possession and grew suspicious. As the Third Princess's conspiracies unraveled, it was revealed that she, the Holy Maiden of Nanjiang, was the true culprit behind the poisoning of the two generals. Shen Tinglan's real identity was also exposed through repeated crises: not only was he not a eunuch, but he was also the son of General Shen, who had endured years in hiding for revenge. From mutual suspicion to fighting side by side, Su Qian used her medical skills to break the venomous curse and expose the conspiracy. Meanwhile, Shen Tinglan, facing a courtroom confrontation, was nearly framed by a body double but was saved at the last moment by Su Qian, who presented a token as proof.
