About Delayed Joy
Having a family but being falsely accused of arson by her adopted sister, Yu QIngya, for attention, she was abandoned by her brothers at the fire scene. After despairingly jumping into the sea, she was rescued by Fu Yuan, the president of a business empire. Fu Yuan needed a contract wife to solidify his position due to his reputation for "bringing misfortune to his wives." To seek revenge, Yu Wan collaborated with him, faking her death and hiding her identity. Yu Wan used her "death" to provoke the Yu family and secretly devised a counterattack. At her funeral, she appeared in a red dress, exposing Yu QIngya for taking credit for her lifesaving efforts and revealing her burned hands from the fire, shocking her brothers and making them feel guilt. Fu Yuan released the fire surveillance footage, and the truth came to light, shattering Yu QIngya's hypocritical facade. Yu's mother biased towards her adopted daughter, leading Yu Wan to sever ties emotionally. Later, at a banquet of the Fu family, Yu Wan was once again framed by Yu QIngya, but with her intelligence and Fu Yuan's support, she exposed Yu QIngya's deceit in using a fake bracelet to fool their mother and revealed that she almost lost her life while trying to buy a real bracelet, leaving the Yu family in deep regret. Yu QIngya's failed attempt to murder Yu Xingchen was completely exposed, and she was expelled from the Yu family. As Yu Wan's relationship with Fu Yuan deepened, their contractual marriage transformed into genuine affection. During their wedding, Yu QIngya attempted to disrupt the event with a forged contract but was outsmarted by Yu Wan, who, together with Fu Yuan, unveiled the second branch's scheme to seize power, ultimately inheriting the Fu family business. Although the Yu family members regretted their actions and offered compensation, Yu Wan did not easily forgive them, only accepting stock equity as a "belated dowry." She and Fu Yuan joined hands to start a new life, resiliently seeking retribution for past grievances, ultimately achieving freedom and dignity after years of suffering.
