セイカは妊娠中に事故に遭い、婚約者のコテイセンに助けを求める。しかし、コテイセンは初恋のアンナが血を見ることができないと知ると、その場を立ち去ってしまう。子供を失った後、セイカはコテイセンから職場での圧力やアンナへの偏愛を受け、さらに彼はアンナのことを心配してセイカに部屋を明け渡すよう強要する。コテイセンの冷淡さを目の当たりにしたセイカは、ついに目覚め、決意を持って彼を離れることを決め、幼少期から決められていた婚約者であるガエンシュウのプロポーズを受け入れる。一方、結婚式の会場では、自信に満ちたコテイセンがセイカの姿が消えたことに驚き、部下に探させるが、セイカがガエンシュウと結婚する姿を目撃する。彼はセイカを本当に失うとは信じられず、二人の関係を取り戻すために必死の努力を始める。
