Identify the barrier to the relationship
A family rule, a social divide, an existing obligation, or a difference in authority can make a relationship difficult to pursue openly. Read for the actual barrier and the consequences of crossing it. A hidden relationship is not automatically forbidden in the same way, and different premises can carry very different ethical and emotional stakes.
Does forbidden love describe the ending?
No. It describes an obstacle, not whether the couple remains together. The story may focus on changing the circumstances, keeping the relationship secret, or reconsidering it. Check the individual premise and additional tags instead of assuming that overcoming the barrier is guaranteed.
