幼い頃に両親を亡くした南有珍は、南進グループの三兄弟と共に育った。成人を迎える誕生日に、三兄弟の誰かと結婚する――そんな約束を交わしていた。ところがある日、南進グループの行方不明だった末娘・南秀雅（ナム・スア）が現れ、有珍と兄たちの間に溝が生まれていく。絶望の淵に立たされた有珍は、長年彼女を想い続けてきた河源グループの河志勳と、衝動的に結婚してしまう。三人の兄たちは、有珍が自分たちの気を引くために嘘をついているのだと思い込んでいた。しかし、彼女が家を出て初めて、その不在の大きさに気づき、後悔に苛まれる。やがて秀雅の本性を知った兄たちは彼女を追い出し、有珍を取り戻そうと必死になるが――有珍は志勳の手を離さなかった。
