About The Moon Laurel
Cynthia is the spirit of a century-old laurel tree. To save her fiancé Luke, she drained all her magical power and helped him become the Second Royal Magus. In his hunger for status and power, Luke abandoned Cynthia. He framed her as a mere "flower vendor" and plotted to cut down the laurel tree that housed her true form. At this perilous moment, Arthur, the Chief Magus, stepped forward. He protected Cynthia by taking her as his wife, and the two were united in marriage. Side by side, they fought against oppression from the aristocracy. Using natural magic, Cynthia cultivated Dark Gold Blazing Sunblooms and won the Queen’s favour. Luke and the Marcus family repeatedly tried to poison her and unleash the Withering Curse, yet Cynthia and Arthur thwarted every scheme. The necromancer master pulling the strings behind the Marcus family was slain by Arthur. Luke had his magic stripped and was exiled, while Mary was imprisoned. Prince Silas sought to seize Cynthia’s royal essence blood to brew an immortality elixir. He summoned an Abyssal Hound to frame her, locked her away and drained her blood. Arthur stormed the prison alone. Silas detonated the Abyss Core in a mutual destructive blast. Cynthia exhausted her life essence to seal the Abyssal Rift, transforming into a laurel leaf and falling into slumber. After forty-five years of endless waiting, Arthur’s loving call awakened Cynthia at last. Together they sealed the Abyss, retreated to seclusion deep within the rainforest, and became eternal lovers.
