About Stand for Me, My Valentine
Cyrus Kenly, born into immense wealth with the world's richest mother and influential aunts, was injured saving his childhood sweetheart Ellen Steel from a car accident. He was initially diagnosed with permanent paralysis, but his mother's elite medical team cured him. To test Ellen's character, Cyrus continued pretending to be paralyzed while dating her. Before their wedding, when he planned to reveal his true condition, he discovered Ellen's affair with his close friend Skyler Buck, along with her arrogant attitude. Restraining his anger, Cyrus decided to transform the wedding into a divorce announcement. During this low point, he helped Averi Peterson recover her stolen purse. Learning of his situation, Averi agreed to marry him. At the wedding, Cyrus announced his divorce from Ellen, who promptly had Skyler propose to her, turning the event into a battle of weddings.
