秦正疏（チン・ジョンシュー）は“法界の閻魔”と恐れられ、担当した案件は一度も敗れたことがない。 龍城一の富豪・段海栄（ドゥアン・ハイロン）の息子・段成周（ドゥアン・チョンジョウ）は強姦の一審で有罪判決を受け、無罪を勝ち取るために秦正疏を弁護人として招いた。 一方その頃、秦正疏が自分のために動き始めたと聞いた段成周は、火鍋店で秦正疏の息子・秦昊（チン・ハオ）と、その妊娠中の妻・李清（リー・チン）を見かけ、わざと難癖をつけて二人にあらゆる侮辱を加える。 だが、まさにその危機一髪の瞬間に秦正疏が駆けつけ、自らの身分を明かす。 しかし段成周はそれを信じず、殴打を続け、開廷直前になってようやく立ち去った。 そして法廷。 弁護人が入廷した瞬間、横柄だった段成周は凍りつく。 自分が先日まで散々侮辱していた相手こそが、必死に依頼していた“頂点の弁護士”秦正疏だったのだ──。
