18歳の誕生日を迎えた小林雫は、母・澄子からささやかれた祝福の言葉を聞いた直後、父・洋介が謎の飛び降り自殺を遂げる惨事に遭遇する。澄子は自殺教唆の罪で投獄されるも、その真相を決して語ろうとしなかった。 時は流れて3年後。雫の結婚式で、刑期を終えて出所した澄子は、娘の婚約者・篠原司にあの日と同じ祝福を囁きかける。すると、雫を深く愛していた司までもが恐怖に駆られ、父と同じように飛び降りてしまう。 2度も同じ悲劇を目の当たりにした雫は、ついに母から真実を見つける決意を固める。
