結婚式当日、喬若梨の両親が飲酒運転で事故を起こし、裴叙白は家族全員を失い、結婚式はお葬式に、愛する人は仇に変わる。喬若梨の両親は獄中で悔恨のうちに亡くなり、彼女は両親の最期の願いと罪滅ぼしのため、五年間裴叙白の側に留まり、彼からすべての屈辱と苦しみを受ける。五年の期限が過ぎ、ついに悲しい結末を迎える。裴叙白は喬若梨を失って後、生きる気力を失う。さらに五年後、病院で喬若梨に瓜二つの女性を目撃し、初めて彼女が当時死んでおらず、幼なじみの陸遥と海外へ渡ったことを知る。だがその時の喬若梨は、すでに裴叙白についてすべてを忘れていた。
