About Wait for Me, Mom
Eight‑year‑old Ronan’s birthday turns tragic when his birthday gift and wish are taken by his younger sister Fallon. Suffering chest pain, he begs his mother Lorna for help, yet she dismisses his plea as a childish tantrum. Ronan dies at home, but his spirit remains trapped in the house, still protecting his biased mother out of deep‑seated longing for maternal love. Only forensic doctor Vance can see and hear him. As police investigate the neglect‑caused death, Ronan struggles between shielding Lorna and facing the bitter truth of unfair family affection. Eventually he lets go of his desperate longing for his mother. He joins a group of other wronged child spirits and gets his long‑awaited proper ninth‑birthday celebration.
