"母の田中 麗子は、息子・小林 翔の生活を邪魔しないよう、都会から離れた建設現場で一人弁当屋を営んでいた。 翔が結婚を控え、婚約者が妊娠したことを知ると、自家製の漬物と田舎の特産品、そして家に代々伝わる翡翠のペンダントを持って、息子の婚約者・白石 友理に会いに都会へ向かう。 しかしそこで待っていたのは、冷酷な言葉と恥辱だった。友理は麗子を侮り、婚約パーティーへの出席も妨害。翔は母を気遣い出席を促すが、友理の仕打ちにより麗子は出席できず、正体も明かさぬまま引き下がる。 やがて翔は、壊されたホテルと病院の監視映像、次々と現れる矛盾から、母の身に何かあったことを察し、調査を始める。 そして婚約当日、友理はパーティーの場で麗子の大切な翡翠を叩き割るという暴挙に出る。 全てを知った翔は、母を守れなかった自分を責めながらも、偽造されたDNA鑑定書や不倫の証拠を手に、白石 友理を法の裁きに委ねる。 彼は誓う――「これからは、絶対に母さんを傷つけさせない」と。"
