林陽（リン・ヤン）は、妻・趙娜娜（ジャオ・ナーナー）と結婚して七年。 安定した結婚生活を送っていると思っていたが、その裏で妻はジムのトレーナー・李凌波（リー・リンボー）と密かに不倫関係を続けていた。 そんな中、林陽が経営する会社は株式上場を目前に控えており、 このタイミングで離婚すれば、築き上げてきた財産の半分を失うことになる。 裏切りを知りながらも、林陽は感情を表に出さない。 怒りに身を任せる代わりに、彼が選んだのは“待つこと”だった。 妻にも不倫相手にも気づかれぬまま、林陽は静かに、そして周到に罠を仕掛けていく。 二人は自分たちが追い詰められていることにも気づかぬまま、少しずつ逃げ場を失っていく。 やがて、不倫相手はある事件をきっかけに逮捕され、刑務所へ。 妻は不倫の事実が公になることで社会的信用と財産を失い、すべてを失ったまま家を去ることになる。 これは、裏切られた男が騒がず、叫ばず、 ただ静かに“取り返す”までの物語。
