沈知意（シェン・ジーイー）の夫、厲墨霆（リー・モーティン）は生まれつき冷徹で無情な人物。しかし、彼は外で純粋で天使のような少女、許棉（シュー・ミエン）を囲っていた。忘年会の場で沈知意が抗議するも、返ってきたのは離婚協議書だけだった。沈知意がサインを拒否した後、厲墨霆はますます圧力を強化し、最終的に沈知意の両親を死に追いやることとなる。 沈知意は目を覚まし、再生し、許棉と出会った日まで戻る。沈知意は両親を移住させることを決断し、離婚を即座に決意する。しかし、唯一の心の引っかかりは、許棉が本当に天使のような存在なのかを自分の目で確かめることだった。
