神隠し宗の宗主である顧軽塵（グー チンチェン）は近いうちに命の危機に直面すると師匠に予見され、運命の相手である宴景辰（イエン ジンチェン）を探すようにと言われた。しかし、顧軽塵は宴景辰を自分の「命の危機」だと誤解し、山を降りて彼を懲らしめようと決意する。ところが、母親にお見合いに連れて行かれた際、宴景辰と一夜限りの関係を持つようになり、さらに彼の妻になるという意外な展開に。 結婚後、二人は徐々に愛情を育むものの、危機に関する誤解が次々と起こる。しかし、それらの誤解はすぐに解消される。その後、顧軽塵は宴景辰が自分のお見合い相手ではないことに気づく。二人が一緒にいると必ず何らかの事故や問題が起きることから、宴景辰が自分の命の危機そのものだという確信を深めていく。
