重病の祖母を救うため、植物状態の夫と結婚した瑠花（るか）。新婚の夜、夫の玄弥（げんや）が目を覚ますが、彼女に去るように告げる。八ヶ月後、瑠花は双子を妊娠し、母親にお金を巻き上げられながら配達の仕事を続ける。偶然出会った夫は彼女を認識せず…運命のいたずらで、夫は瑠花に恋心を抱く。瑠花が侮辱される場面で、夫は彼女を守る。一方、樋口おばあ様が瑠花を見つけ、二人の夫婦関係を明らかにする。結局、瑠花は無事に男女一人ずつの双子を出産し、玄弥と共に幸せな生活を送る。
