About Her Illusion of Importance
Mark Dalton engaged in charity work and financially supported Carla Fulton, who was in poverty. Carla mistakenly believed that she held a special place in Mark's heart and gradually became arrogant. Five years later, after graduating from university, Carla, in an attempt to show off, lied that Mark was her brother and brought her classmates to intern at his company. Mark, busy with the company's IPO, delegated the task of arranging the internships to his subordinates. The subordinates did not dare to stop her, allowing her to act recklessly within the company. She fired the technical team and declared herself the chairperson. When Mark was negotiating a partnership with Saturn Group, Carla's outrageous behavior caused the deal to fall through, and Mark was so furious that he fainted and was hospitalized. Carla continued her reckless actions, pushing the company to the brink of bankruptcy, and even planned to sell it. After Mark regained consciousness, he exposed her lies. Resentful, Carla teamed up with a rival company to sabotage Mark's projects. In the end, Mark uncovered the conspiracy, Carla was arrested, and the company successfully went public with the support of Saturn Group.
