若いシングルマザーのショウレイは、息子カラクの先天性白血病の治療のため、かつての恋人ハントウライと別れて7年前に去った町に戻ってきた。偶然にも、ハントウライはショウレイが海ノ市に戻ってきたことを知り、重要なイベントに出席していた。彼はすぐに駅に行き、長い間行方不明だった恋人を探した。病院で偶然ハントウライに出くわしたカラクは、彼が母親の家族アルバムに写っていた男性に似ていると思い、父親ではないかと疑う。カラクはハントウライをショウレイと確認するために連れてきたが、誤解が重なり、会う機会を逸してしまう。幸い、やがて2人は再会し、混乱を解消した後、ハントウライはカラクが本当に自分の息子であることを知る。彼らは家族として再会し、新たなスタートを切ることができるのだろうか？
