恩師の命を救われた林斯洛（りんしらく）。恩師の遺言により、その娘である鄭雪歌（ていせっか）と結婚し、彼女を支えることを誓った。林斯洛は鄭雪歌との生活を選ぶと、自身の夢であった航空宇宙技術の研究開発を諦め、「専業主夫」となった。しかし、その献身的な姿勢は、かえって鄭雪歌に見下される結果を招いた。そんな中、鄭雪歌のかつての恋人、裴予年（はいよねん）が帰国。裴予年の自宅に問題が発生したため、彼は一時的に林斯洛の家に住むことになった。鄭雪歌は林斯洛に相談することなく、娘に裴予年を「パパ」と呼ばせることさえ望むようになった。度重なる心の傷に、林斯洛はついに別れを決意した。
